"I Thought It Was All CGI": Scarlet Witch"s Illuminati Battle Images Compared To Real-Life Location Will Trick You With Cinema Magic

An MCU fan"s glimpse at the filming locations behind the Illuminati headquarters shows what Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" Earth-838 looks like in real life. After the events of WandaVision, Scarlet Witch"s MCU journey took a dark turn thanks to the Darkhold, which corrupted Wanda Maximoff"s mind and led her to Earth-838 in search of her children. Meanwhile, the Iluminati ignored Doctor Strange"s pleads and underestimated Wanda"s power. As a result, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness featured some of the most brutal deaths in all of the MCU so far.
On his popular Instagram account stepphingthroughfilm, photographer Thomas Duke shares a few images of the real-life location where Wanda"s murder of the Earth-838 Illuminati took place, holding frames of the scene to compare it with the movie"s fictional setting. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" Illuminati HQ scenes were shot in the British Museum in London. Marvel used CGI to add a new room with a glass entrance, as well as a few statues.
