Samuel L Jackson May Have Just Spoiled The MCU"s Secret Invasion Twist

WARNING: This article includes potential SPOILERS from Secret Invasion. The Marvel Cinematic Universe's upcoming Secret Invasion TV show may be taking a far different turn than everyone expected, as Samuel L. Jackson might have just given away a huge spoiler. One of the MCU's oldest characters is getting ready for his comeback as Jackson reprises the role of Fury in Secret Invasion, the first proper Phase 5 show in The Multiverse Saga. The MCU show will be based on the famous Secret Invasion storyline from Marvel Comics and see Fury in ways that audiences haven't seen before.
While Secret Invasion has been pitched as a spy-thriller to prevent a massive Skrull invasion, it appears that there may be a deeper twist hidden within the MCU adaptation. In an interview with THR, Jackson spoke about the upcoming Disney+ drama but may have given away a massive spoiler. According to Jackson, it may not really be about an invasion but more about the shape-shifting Skrull aliens finding a home on Earth, sharing the following:
They're not trying to kill us. They just wanna live like everybody else, you know? It's kind of like the problem we have right now, people are just coming to try and find a better place or a better life for themselves. Like those people, the Skrulls are here, but they don't wanna be secret invaders. They want to live in their own skin...so, acceptance.
