Russell Crowe"s 10-Year Superhero Movie Record Will Never Be Broken

Russell Crowe has a remarkable comic book movie record that is never likely to be replicated or outdone. The star of the upcoming Kraven The Hunter movie drew attention from the first trailer for his overbearing character and another interesting accent for his repertoire. He’s set to follow the near-cliched trope of abusive father figures Marvel movies have made a cottage industry out of.
In Kraven, Crowe plays Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s father, a hateful man who inspired Kraven’s own spite and crafted him in his own image. In the Sony Spider-Verse he’s effectively Thanos, forcing his child to become a killing machine. Only without the purple chin and with a Russian accent straight out of a 1990s Van Damme movie. And in playing Kraven’s father, Crowe has hit a very specific hat-trick in comic book movies…
