Zack Snyder’s Justice League Is Canon?! Major The Flash Clue Rounds The DCEU Off In Snyder Style

Warning: This article contains spoilers for The Flash! The Flash is the first DCEU movie to treat Zack Snyder's Justice League as the canon version of the film. In The Flash, Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) travels back in time to prevent the murder of his mother, Nora (Maribel Verdú), only to find himself in an alternate timeline with General Zod (Michael Shannon) leading a Kryptonian invasion of Earth again. With the help of his younger self, Barry teams up with Michael Keaton's Batman and the Kryptonian refugee Supergirl (Sasha Calle) in order to stop Zod and makes his way back to his timeline.
Since the release of the infamously reworked Justice League in 2017, DC has had a tumultuous situation in terms of its on-film canon, with the Snyder Cut of Justice League finally debuting in 2021, while Warner Bros. has reportedly maintained that the theatrical cut is officially canon. However, with The Flash opening the gateways of DC's multiverse and preparations for James Gunn's DCU underway, the Scarlet Speedster's multiverse movie has done a significant about-face on which version of Justice League is canon to DC on film. Here is how The Flash canonizes Zack Snyder's Justice League and what the larger implications of that could be.
