Superman & Lois Season 4: Cast, Story & Everything We Know

Warning: The following contains SPOILERS for the Superman and Lois season 3 finale.There are big changes in store in Superman and Lois season 4, with a reduced cast and a story centered upon a vengeful Lex Luthor. Superman and Lois season 3 saw a focus on family matters, with Lois Lane battling breast cancer as Clark Kent tried to cope with his own unfamiliar feelings of powerlessness. Superman and Lois season 4 is expected to see a similar bent, if only because the show will not have as sizeable an ensemble as in previous seasons.
The future of Superman and Lois remains uncertain heading into season 4. DC Studios' co-CEO James Gunn, who is currently overseeing a cinematic reboot of the Superman franchise, has voiced his support for the series, stating that "It's a show everybody likes, so it's going to keep going for a little bit." Despite that endorsement, there are concerns that the new management of the CW network is worried about the expense of producing Superman and Lois, given they have already canceled most of their original programming in favor of producing unscripted content. Given that, Superman and Lois may not see a fifth season no matter how good its ratings are.
