Star Wars: The 8 Jedi Who Survived Their Worst Defeat (Before Order 66)

Star Wars is finally revealing the Jedi who survived their worst defeat in the High Republic Era, the destruction of Starlight Beacon. The High Republic Era was a time of relative peace across the galaxy, peaking under the leadership of Chancellor Lina Soh some 200 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. It was an age of exploration, one in which the Republic and the Jedi worked together to extend peace and prosperity across the galaxy. But the brightest light casts the darkest shadow, and the Jedi found themselves opposed.
A pirate group called the Nihil had flourished on the Outer Rim, and violently opposed the expansion of the Republic and the Jedi. Claudia Gray's novel Fallen Star tells the tale of their greatest victory and the Jedi's greatest defeat before the prequels. Starlight Beacon, a major Republic space station, was destroyed - with Force predators called the Nameless unleashed in its corridors. This marked the end of Star Wars: The High Republic Phase I, with Phase II leaping further back in time to present origin stories. Now, as Lucasfilm prepare to launch Phase III, the identities of survivors are gradually being revealed. This list will be updated as more are unveiled.
