Lois Lane Frontrunner Breaks Silence On New Superman Movie Casting Reports

Following reports about being one of the frontrunners for Lois Lane in Superman: Legacy, Rachel Brosnahan opens up on the new casting reports for the iconic DC Comics journalist. As James Gunn is set to direct Superman: Legacy, the DC Studios filmmaker is currently in the process of casting several key roles for the upcoming reboot. Outside of the Man of Steel, the Superman reimagination is also looking to cast Lois, Lex Luthor, and Jimmy Olsen.
Over the weekend, several frontrunners emerged for Superman: Legacy, including Lois and Clark, with Brosnahan as one of the candidates for the female lead. In an interview with The View, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star was asked about the reports about her supposedly being up for Lois in Superman: Legacy. While Brosnahan didn't flat-out deny the reports, she stressed that people should take what they read online with "a grain of salt." However, she also expressed interest in playing Lois if she was given a chance, stating the following:
I mean, look, take everything you read on the internet with a grain of salt is my first piece of advice. Look, it would be extraordinary; I grew up watching Lois Lane, this incredibly talented journalist, [who is] far from a damsel in distress and I would jump at the chance if it arose.
