MCU Actor Has An Excellent Marvel Theory On Kang"s Role In Avengers Secret Wars

Summary
  • Marvel may have to make changes to the storyline of Avengers: Secret Wars in order to fit all the main characters into one film.
  • Kang's role in the Multiverse Saga could be merged with that of Molecule Man and the Beyonder, allowing Marvel to avoid introducing two new characters.
  • The MCU is already deviating from the Secret Wars comics by making Loki the God of Stories and incorporating different heroes into the storyline.
Just because MCU actors are directly involved in projects doesn't mean they are prohibited from discussing their theories on the direction of Marvel's overarching stories, with one of them recently sharing their excellent take on Kang's role in Avengers: Secret Wars. Marvel has been known to take creative liberties when it comes to adapting comic book runs into movies with varying degrees of success. Condensing some of Marvel's most iconic stories into single films is no mean feat, after all, and sometimes the names and roles of central figures need to be shifted around in the MCU timeline to tell a compelling story within just three hours.
This is probably going to be the case when it comes to Avengers: Secret Wars, where Marvel's biggest challenge will be trying to bring together such a vast swathe of main characters in one tumultuous event. Given that Kang is supposed to be the arch-villain of the Multiverse Saga, it stands to reason that he would play a big role, yet arguably hasn't had his time to shine given that his variants have been summarily dispatched by MCU heroes. This leaves little room for the MCU to introduce two of Secret Wars' most integral figures: Molecule Man and the Beyonder. Instead, Marvel may be looking to forego their introduction entirely.
