Ahsoka has fixed a continuity error that's plagued Star Wars for nearly two decades. The costumes worn by the characters in Ahsoka were exceptionally well crafted, adding weight to the individual storylines. So can be said for every character in Star Wars, with designs among the most prominent production aspects that have been emphasized since the franchise's inception. The cloaks of the Jedi and Sith add to their wizard-like mysticism, making them immediately identifiable while serving a practical use for the wearer.
There's just one problem with the cloaks: They have a tendency to get lost. The early Star Wars films saw few characters wearing cloaks, with the selection being limited to Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, the Emperor, and briefly Luke Skywalker. While the Jedi of old could return to the Temple on Coruscant and acquire new gear, Force users in the New Republic Era don't have such a luxury. Ahsoka went the extra mile to ensure that everyone's belongings were accounted for, and any missing property was gone for good.

It's a tiny detail, but the robes of Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati are a major element of their characters. Baylan, in particular, does not remove his cloak until he engages in a lightsaber with Ahsoka on Seatos. He and Shin remove their cloaks like so many warriors have done prior to their fights, with Baylan taking the time to wrap his cloak gently and place it aside. Ahsoka likewise folds her gray cloak and discards it, though with less care than her foe.
Following episodes ensure that Baylan and Shin don't have their cloaks, the warriors making the trip to Peridea with their armor exposed. Previous Star Wars entries would simply replace the robes with phantom new ones, but the dark Jedi didn't take the time to acquire their belongings before leaving Seatos - and Ahsoka did take the time to acknowledge that. Ahsoka herself is something of an exception, as she made a costume change to become Ahsoka the White after her battle with Baylan and had the change in wardrobe on hand aboard her T-6 Jedi shuttle.
