Former X-Men director Matthew Vaughn has countered a popular MCU Wolverine fan cast with casting speculation of his own, only this time concerning a character expected to appear in the fledgling DCU. Vaughn previously directed X-Men: First Class and has since worked on the Kingsman movies with actor Taron Egerton. In recent years, Egerton's name has often been raised when concerning recasting an actor as Wolverine for the MCU despite Hugh Jackman's return for Deadpool 3.
