As X-Men '97 season 1 is finishing its run next week, Marvel Studios is seemingly teasing the next Disney+ original, which will be the Agatha Harkness-focused spinoff from WandaVision. The official X (formerly known as Twitter) account for Marvel Studios shared a post seemingly indicating the Agatha TV show received a new title, this time Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe, an obvious nod to The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

However, only minutes after they made their initial post, Marvel Studios quickly deleted it with no explanation. If Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe is the actual new show name, it would mark the fourth title change by Marvel Studios.

Why Marvel May Have Deleted The Agatha Show's New Title Reveal Close While a release date for Agatha has yet to be revealed, the bigger mystery is what is actually going on with the title and why Marvel Studios deleted their post so quickly. One possibility is that this was a genuine mistake on their part and this post wasn't supposed to go out today. Since social media managers can and do schedule a lot of posts for their content ahead of time, this could have been an error on their part.
However, mistakes like that are rare. Knowing that Marvel Studios enjoys leaning into fan speculation and has fun with it, it wouldn't be shocking if the Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe title was meant to be a joke, feeding into the speculation around the show's title. Whoever is running the Marvel Studios social media accounts could have wanted to see how the audience would react to Agatha's MCU spinoff getting a new name yet again. Perhaps more clues and hints will emerge over the coming days, especially if this is meant to be the start of Marvel's Agatha marketing.
The funnier twist, however, is if all the title changes to the Agatha series are meant to be related to the show's overall plot. There could be a scenario where Agatha, similar to Deadpool, knows she is in a TV show and is perhaps constantly changing the title of her own spinoff, meant to serve as a meta-joke. For now, the Agatha TV show, no matter what it will be called in the end, is set to release on Disney+ this fall.
