Wonder Woman"s Upcoming DC Return Imagined 1 Year After James Gunn"s Last Update In New Art

Summary
  • Wonder Woman's potential animated series teased with exciting new DC Universe art, aiming to flesh out DC's new universe with unique animation style.
  • Despite being part of DC's Trinity, Wonder Woman has never had her own animated show - but that could change with this upcoming project.
  • With Wonder Woman's rich mythology and popularity, her own animated series could be the perfect way to reintroduce her to the DC Universe.
Wonder Woman's very own animated series is imagined through exciting new DC Universe art, over a year since James Gunn's comments on the character in animation. The upcoming DCU is set to officially begin with Creature Commandos later in 2024, and James Gunn's Superman flying into theaters July 11, 2025. As the universe begins to get fleshed out, a Wonder Woman animated series could be the perfect project.
What a Wonder Woman animated series could look like comes to life courtesy of LoVS_18, including the titular hero and teases for a handful of her villains. Diana Prince has never gotten her own animated show, but this art shows how cool it would be for her to finally get one for DC's new universe, along with how nice the animation can look and distinguish itself from other projects in the DCU.
Despite being part of DC's Trinity, it's shocking that Wonder Woman has never gotten an animated series following the success of Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, and Justice League. Now that two members of the trinity have received new animated adaptations, My Adventures With Superman and Batman: Caped Crusader, maybe it's time for Wonder Woman to get her own.
