James Marsden's Cyclops only used his optic beams in a handful of scenes, where he used them to break doors, ceilings, and shackles, or just to push enemies back. X-Men Origins: Wolverine featured Tim Pocock's young Scott Summers using a slightly more powerful version of his powers, but he still used them just to break objects.
