Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Agatha All Along episode 4
Agatha All Along just debuted a new team of heroes to the MCU. As seen in Agatha All Along episode 4, Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) and her new coven continue down the Witches Road and face their next trial. During the episode, a reference is made to the Daughters of Liberty, a group of women from real-life history who also became an impressive team of heroes in the Marvel Comics universe.
In Agatha All Along episode 3, Agatha and her coven faced their first trial, one that resulted in the loss of Mrs. Hart (Debra Jo Rupp). This opens up a vacancy in the coven for a true Green Witch in Agatha All Along episode 4 with Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza) joining the Witches" Road. During the new episode and trial, Agatha references her connections to the Daughters of Liberty.
Here"s everything you need to know about the Daughters of Liberty from the original comics, and what they likely looked like in the MCU.

In real-life history,
the Daughters of Liberty were formed in 1765, aiding the American colonies" Son of Liberty during the boycotts against the British Empire and during the protests for the Stamp and Townshend Acts. Not only did they participate in spinning bees to make clothes for their families instead of buying British textiles, but they were also responsible for helping maintain the boycotts by refusing to buy any imported British goods for their homes. They also created berry drink substitutes for British tea following the Tea Act, known as "liberty tea".

2 Once the war with the British began in earnest, various factions of the Daughters of Liberty could be found across the American colonies, sewing soldiers" uniforms and melting down metal for ammunition. However, the Daughters of Liberty continued across the generations and into the present in Marvel Comics, an ongoing group of women working to protect the ideals of freedom and liberty in the modern era.
Trained in combat, science, and espionage, several generations of the Daughters were also trained in the art of magic by Agatha Harkness herself.
Marvel's Daughters Of Liberty Comics Team Members Explained An Impressive Collection of Powerful Women Close Beyond Agatha Harkness, the modern-day Daughters of Liberty in Marvel Comics has quite an impressive roster of powerful women working to guide and protect the world, preventing various abuses of power and corruption. Led by key figures known as The Dryad (including Harriet Tubman), Peggy Carter is the current Dryad leading the present-day Daughters of Liberty.
Here"s every known member from the comics, and if they also exist in the MCU (or soon will):

Remarkably, there are several known members of the Daughters of Liberty in the comics who already exist in the MCU, even if the group hasn"t yet officially come together on-screen. Likewise, the entire roster from the comics probably wouldn"t be able to fully unite due to various deaths (Peggy Carter and Black Widow), and others having darker on-screen arcs such as Sharon Carter (who"s secretly the Power Broker).
This also goes for Agatha herself, whose allusion to the MCU"s Daughters of Liberty in Agatha All Along doesn"t exactly make it sound like she was an ally to their cause that she is on the page.
Do The Daughters Of Liberty Still Exist In The MCU? Probably Not (Thanks To Agatha)
In Agatha All Along episode 4, the coven shares battle scars and stories from their past following their second trial on the Witches" Road. When Agatha is asked about her own, she points to a scar on her elbow she claims came from what looks to be a large knitting needle.
Agatha asks her fellow witches if anyone has ever heard of the Daughters of Liberty. None of them had, and Harkness responds with "Exactly". To that end, the clear implication is that the Daughters were all defeated by Agatha herself.
Furthermore,
the knitting needle used to attack Harkness suggests that Agatha is talking about the original Daughters of Liberty from 1765, rather than the more present-day iteration seen in Marvel Comics. Rather than offering to teach and train in the ways of magic, the MCU"s Agatha likely found herself in conflict with the original Daughters, and subsequently wiped them all out. After all, the MCU"s Agatha is far more villainous and darker than the comics" version of Harkness who"s generally a far more neutral character overall.
Who Was On The MCU's Daughters Of Liberty Team? Or Still Could Be... Close That being said,
it"s certainly possible the Daughters of Liberty perhaps survived in the MCU and continued operating in secret. Agatha may simply be unaware of their continued existence in the present. Keeping that idea in mind, it would be fascinating to learn that certain characters in the MCU were part of a secret society of women working to keep the world safe. Furthermore, it"s also possible that the Daughters of Liberty could perhaps be revived at some point in the MCU"s future.
While no one is specifically named as a Daughter of Liberty in Agatha All Along, the version Harkness refers to is more than likely just the original group of women who supported the Sons during the Revolutionary War. However, even if a more modern-day team at some point comes together in the MCU, characters like Agatha and Sharon Carter wouldn"t be on it, and the same obviously goes for the already deceased, like Black Widow and Peggy Carter (The Dryad).
At any rate, it"s still a fun reference considering Agatha"s comic connections to the group.
