In a new interview with ComicBook, Brolni was asked if he could comment on the Lanterns reports, as he did confirm that he and DC Studios were trying to make it happen before Kyle Chandler was cast. While praising the Friday Night Lights star for landing the gig, Brolin also stressed that he is open for other roles in the DC Universe down the line, sharing the following:
You know what? Green Lantern didn"t work out, but that"s okay. It"s working out. Who is it going to be, Kyle Chandler? I love him as an actor, I think he"s wonderful, actually. And, you know, we"ll see what"s down the line, man.
