New Deadpool & Wolverine fan art brings Thor's upcoming cameo to life in the next Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. Despite there being a limited number of Marvel movies releasing in 2024, this summer is gearing up to be a big one for the Multiverse Saga as Deadpool & Wolverine will be arriving in theaters. Not only does it mark the completion of Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool trilogy, but it means Wade Wilson is officially joining the MCU.
At this year's CinemaCon, Marvel Studios presented new footage of Deadpool & Wolverine, which included a cameo from Chris Hemsworth's Thor. With the iconic Avenger confirmed to appear, Art of Time Travel and Pvilly_Artist shared fan art of what his cameo could look like in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Both of their Deadpool & Wolverine art pieces feature Hemsworth's Thor holding Reynolds' Deadpool as he watches the Merc with a Mouth die. This is based on the footage that was witnessed at CinemaCon where Wade watched Thor witness Deadpool perish at some point in the timeline.

Close The bigger question that many likely have is how Thor actually fits into the larger story of Deadpool & Wolverine. It's unlikely that Hemsworth's Thor is a major part of the Deadpool & Wolverine cast, as he will likely only have a cameo appearance. However, the bigger mystery is whether this cameo is new footage or just archived material from past MCU movies.
It's worth taking into account that Hemsworth was never reported to have been spotted on set during filming for Deadpool & Wolverine. If Hemsworth shot new material, it likely had to be inside a studio where paparazzi wouldn't spot him. Given how long Thor has been in the MCU, it would make more sense if Marvel Studios managed to use a shot of Hemsworth from one of his film appearances and have it edited to where it looks like he is seeing Deadpool die.
