Marvel’s New Iron Man Replacement Has The Perfect Way To Connect Daredevil To The MCU’s Past

The upcoming Marvel TV series, Ironheart, could have the perfect way to connect Daredevil more thoroughly into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the Sacred Timeline. While the Daredevil TV series came out in 2015, when the MCU was well under way, and it contained no real connection to the MCU, Ironheart could play a significant role in linking the character in with the wider world. Already, Charlie Cox"s Matt Murdock has shown up in a handful of other movies and shows, helping to provide a foundation for the hero being present in the MCU, but how his past connects to the wider world has yet to be seen.
On the other hand, Echo offered some insight to Kingpin"s long history in Hell"s Kitchen and the wider New York area. Clearly, these characters have roots in the area where they reside, and having operated for years, it"s hard to imagine they have not made many waves and influenced others. But Ironheart could be the first instance where Daredevil"s past is seen to influence events in the MCU.
Ironheart's Story Has A Perfect Way To Connect Daredevil To The MCU's Past Daredevil Has Clear Potential Links To The MCU's Past Close Anthony Ramos is set to play Parker Robbins in Ironheart, a character whose history in the comics stretches back to 2002. While Parker started out as a petty criminal, they have since acquired powers through magical artifacts, and they go on to become an Avengers level threat in the comics. However, Parker"s humble beginnings as a criminal actually lead back to Daredevil, and in some instances, Kingpin too.
Related Ironheart Villain: The Hood Powers & Marvel Comics History Explained Ironheart’s villain is likely to be the character of The Hood, an antagonist from Marvel Comics with an intriguing power set and backstory.
As a boy, Parker"s mother is deathly ill, and the family struggle to have the necessary funds to help her and keep her comfortable and healthy. Parker"s father is sometimes portrayed as having links to Kingpin in the comics, which establishes his criminal history, but the inciting incident that led Parker to decide to pursue a life of villainy was when he witnessed Daredevil, a hero, fight against Electro. While some kids may have looked on and been inspired by the hero, Parker decided to pursue life as a villain, lying, stealing, and cheating his way to a more comfortable life hor him and his family.
Tying Daredevil Into The MCU's History Can Balance Out The Marvel Show Only Recently Being Confirmed As Canon Daredevil Needs To Put Down Roots In The MCU Close If the MCU were to apply this kind of backstory to the character, it would not only help to establish how they came to be a threat by the time Riri Williams is attempting to step up as a hero, but also help insert Daredevil as a long-established hero in the MCU, just on the street level. It"s unclear how Daredevil: Born Again may tie in with the original Netflix series, but setting up a story like this for Matt, as a popular vigilante hero within a small community, could be a great way to connect it together.
It also helps that Daredevil: Born Again will be released just a few months before Ironheart in March 2025, potentially having the season finale in the weeks that lead up to Ironheart coming out in June 2025. This could be the perfect way to tie both shows together, continuing to put the MCU connections on full display. Of course, it remains to be seen how these characters will fully be incorporated, but having Ironheart"s main villain be influenced by Daredevil seems like a perfect link.
