Secret Invasion Makes 1 Forgotten Infinity War Detail Crucial To The MCU

Marvel Studios teases a huge connection between Secret Invasion and Avengers: Infinity War that makes one small moment much more critical to the future. The end of the Infinity Saga did not address Skrulls at all after Captain Marvel introduced them, but Secret Invasion is poised to explore the deep history that the shape-shifting aliens have on Earth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This could include introducing an even more powerful version of the aliens known as Super-Skrulls, who are genetically enhanced with powers taken from known Marvel heroes and villains.
The presence of Super-Skrulls in the MCU has now been teased in Secret Invasion. Near the end of the most recent Secret Invasion trailer, the Skrull rebel leader Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir) is shown transforming his arm into tree-like tentacles. The move is reminiscent of Groot's arm twist abilities that have been featured in recent MCU movies, including Avengers: Infinity War. The connection between Groot's powers and a Super-Skrull is not the only enhanced Skrull that Secret Invasion can include, as one moment from the trailer sets up an even bigger MCU character whose powers could be replicated by the shape-shifting villains.
Cull Obsidian's Severed Hand May Be Used By The Skrulls

At the 1:28 mark of the Secret Invasion trailer, there is a tease that the Skrulls could have Cull Obsidian's severed hand from Avengers: Infinity War. The quick moment in the footage shows a case belonging to the Department of Damage Control being opened. It is labeled as "Specimen Sample: Cull" before the shot cuts off the rest of the label. While the contents of the box are not directly shown, this is a strong piece of evidence to suggest that Cull's hand was picked up by Damage Control after it was left in New York early on in Avengers: Infinity War.
Damage Control did not appear in the MCU Phase 3 movie, but Tony Stark created the organization as a clean-up crew for the Avengers' messes. This would include their presence in New York after Cull Obsidian and Ebony Maw visited the city to take the Time Stone. Damage Control obtaining Cull's hand after Avengers: Infinity War makes sense and teases that the organization could have samples of several other heroes and villains from across the MCU. Since the Skrulls might already be in Damage Control, they could be behind this initiative or steal the specimen samples that will help the most.
Other Super-Powered Samples The Skrulls May Have Access Too

The Skrulls could have access to plenty of super-powered samples in Secret Invasion beyond Cull's hand from Avengers: Infinity War. Damage Control could have taken a sample of Spider-Man's DNA during Spider-Man: No Way Home, while their SuperMax prison gave them access to Abomination and Ms. Marvel's The Clandestines. It is even possible that samples of all snapped heroes from Avengers: Infinity War was taken, explaining how Gravik gets Groot's powers.
Secret Invasion's Super-Skrulls might also be used from samples obtained by other organizations that are not Damage Control. The Raft might have taken DNA from the heroes who were imprisoned there during Captain America: Civil War, which could mean Scarlet Witch's powers are on the table. It could even build on Intelligencia taking She-Hulk's DNA in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. They might even have old samples from SHIELD before it fell that include Captain America's super soldier powers. In any instance, Secret Invasion's connection to Avengers: Infinity War could set the stage for a variety of Super-Skrulls in the MCU.
