A new fan-made edit of one scene from the newest trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine finally gives Hugh Jackman's Wolverine his mask. Hugh Jackman was revealed to be returning as James "Logan" Howlett, the mutant Wolverine, in the MCU in September 2022. Jackman debuted as Wolverine in 20th Century Fox's X-Men in 2000, and went on to portray the crucial X-Men member for 17 years before retiring from the role in 2017's Logan. Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine will bring together its titular heroes for the first time since 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and bring them into the MCU proper.
Deadpool & Wolverine's trailers have provided a better look at Hugh Jackman's returning Wolverine alongside Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson, a.k.a. Deadpool. However, while official merchandise has displayed Wolverine's iconic mask from Marvel Comics, which will appear in Deadpool & Wolverine, the accessory hasn't been seen in the movie's trailers. A fan-made edit shared by spdrmnkyxxiii reworks one key scene in Deadpool & Wolverine's trailer to gift the clawed mutant his signature cowl. This edit also gives Wolverine's sleeveless look his large shoulder pads, and puts the hero's retractable claws on display, making his Deadpool & Wolverine costume much more comic-accurate.

Marvel Studios has recently been giving many of the MCU's superheroes comic-accurate upgrades, and Wolverine is the next in line. While operating in black leather costumes throughout Fox's X-Men franchise, Deadpool & Wolverine will finally give Hugh Jackman's Wolverine his yellow-and-blue superhero suit from Marvel Comics, with some modern, MCU twists. It seems Deadpool & Wolverine will begin with Wolverine using his full costume, fit with shoulder pads, full sleeves, and perhaps the cowl that hasn't yet been seen in action. However, Wolverine's costume will become more disheveled over the duration of Deadpool and Wolverine's highly-anticipated adventure across the multiverse.
At some point, Wolverine will lose his sleeves, making his costume more reminiscent of the sleeveless, but still gloved, superhero suit from Marvel Comics. Wolverine's new Deadpool & Wolverine costume also includes dedicated sheaths on his gloves that make the extension of his iconic claws more seamless. This yellow-and-blue costume is almost exactly what Wolverine sports in Marvel Comics, making it the most comic-accurate depiction of the character in the hero's live-action history. This helps to make Deadpool & Wolverine one of the most exciting X-Men-focused live-action movies ever, and one of the most exciting installments in the MCU's history.
