Hear Me Out, The Flash Movie Could"ve Been Fixed With This 1 Key Difference

Summary
  • Shawn Levy could have improved The Flash with his expertise in heart, humor, spectacle, and more.
  • The movie's multiverse plot and cameos could have been better handled by Levy, as seen in Deadpool & Wolverine's record-breaking trailers so far.
  • Director Andy Muschietti's strengths were showcased in handling multiple Batmen, raising hopes for his future DCU Batman reboot movie.
After a new reveal, I believe The Flash missed the perfect opportunity to make sure the movie's issues did not happen. First of all, I did not hate Ezra Miller's The Flash movie. Sure, it was not among my favorite DCEU movies, but I think a lot of the stuff in it did really work. The Flash was where I felt Miller was at their best as Barry Allen, with the actor doing a great job at pulling off a dual role. The DCEU movie was also pitch-perfect in the emotional department.
Barry Allen saying goodbye to his mom at the end of the movie is the most emotional scene of the DCEU for me. That said, it was clear that The Flash had some glaring issues. Chief among them were the distracting CGI in a lot of scenes, problems with the movie's use of the multiverse, its decision to do a loose version of the iconic Flashpoint instead of committing all the way with Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne Batman, and the poor cameos. I think a lot of those problems could have been solved with one key change.
