Storm actress Halle Berry reveals whether or not there were ever conversations to reprise her Marvel role for
Deadpool & Wolverine. Phase 5 got its biggest chapter yet in The Multiverse Saga, as Deadpool & Wolverine brought Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman into the MCU timeline. The Easter eggs and references in Deadpool & Wolverine also allowed the Fox-Marvel era to get celebrated, including various actors coming back to play roles they portrayed almost a decade ago.
While there were many Marvel cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine, Halle Berry was not one of them, and as such, she was recently asked by ComicBook in an interview about whether there were any attempts to get her into the film. Unfortunately, it appears that there was never a shot of having Storm in Deadpool & Wolverine, as Berry revealed the following:
No. Blake [Lively] asked me one time, I ran into her at a Marc Jacobs fashion show, and she said, 'Would you ever be in my husband's movie as Storm?' I said, 'Yeah, if he asked me,' but he never asked me.

2 How Halle Berry's Storm Could Return In The Multiverse Saga Close While Storm was referenced by Logan in Deadpool & Wolverine, it is understandable why some characters were not considered for a return in Deadpool & Wolverine. With the number of cameos and storylines happening in Deadpool & Wolverine, trying to work in more characters who didn't necessarily serve a plot purpose could have gotten to the point where it felt like it was getting a bit overcrowded. However, the MCU timeline has now opened up the door for a far better cameo opportunity with a more suitable context.
Phase 6 is set to be the end of The Multiverse Saga, with Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars coming up, which will more than likely be where the MCU goes full out with their cameo celebration. The next Avengers movies are where players like Berry's Storm and many other X-Men actors could come into the fold. This also arguably could prove to be a far better way to be brought back, as the scale of the next Avengers adventures have been teased to be truly colossal.
Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will potentially also be the last time that most actors in the Fox-Marvel era will be able to portray their respective characters, especially on the X-Men front. Avengers: Secret Wars is said to be setting up a soft reboot for the MCU, which would be coming at the same time as Marvel Studios is reimagining the X-Men, as a solo film is currently film in the works. With this in mind, despite not getting the opportunity to be in
Deadpool & Wolverine, the world will hopefully get to see Berry back as Storm at least one last time in the coming years.
Deadpool & Wolverine R A follow-up to the highly successful Deadpool and Deadpool 2 films starring Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth. The third film will be the first in the franchise to be developed under the Marvel Studios banner following Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
