An MCU executive producer teases what's next for Loki and the TVA after Loki season 2 episode 4's game-changing cliffhanger. Despite all their efforts, Loki and his allies have failed to stop the Temporal Loom from breaking apart, leading the TVA to apparently be destroyed. Temporal radiation has engulfed the TVA headquarters, tearing Victor Timely to shreds along the way. Whatever that means for Loki and the MCU going forward is left to the audience's imagination, at least until Loki season 2 episode 5.
But as catastrophic as Loki season 2 episode 4's final scene seems, there's still hope for the Marvel multiverse. In an interview with TechRadar, Marvel Studios producer Kevin Wright suggests what exactly happens when the Temporal Loom explodes and how Loki will deal with the aftermath, saying:
"Well... reality is gone," Wright teased. "Loki's going to... have to bring reality back somehow, so I think time will tell how he figures out how to do that."
Wright's comments seemingly confirm that the Temporal Loom's explosion not only sent every existing timeline flying far away from each other, but also destroyed reality itself. Everything, from the TVA headquarters to every single universe in the Marvel multiverse, might have gone through a drastic transformation, at least from an outside perspective. However, it seems Loki's knowledge about time and the multiverse remains intact, providing him with the only tool he can use to put everything back in order. The clock is ticking, and Loki only has so much time with only a few Loki season 2 episodes left.

Loki Producer Responds To Huge Multiverse Theory Apart from confirming that reality as fans know it has been fundamentally altered, Marvel producer Kevin Wright also teases how the Temporal Loom's explosion affected Loki season 2's main characters. Describing the visual design of the explosion in Loki season 2 episode 4's final scene, Wright explains,
"It's a bit coincidental. We discussed it as being like a nuclear explosion met with a slow volcanic eruption. But temporal energy is the same technology used in the TVA's prune sticks, so you never know where everyone has gone."
Wright's comments suggest that at the very least, Loki, Mobius, Sylvie, Hunter B-15, Ouroboros, and Casey have survived the Temporal Loom's destruction, but also ended up somewhere else in the now shattered multiverse. Since temporal energy works the same as the TVA's prune sticks, all characters who are in the TVA headquarters when the Temporal Loom breaks apart may have been sent either to the Void or to one of the scattered timelines.
All the rules established by Loki seasons 1 and 2 may be different now given that the Sacred Timeline is gone, the Temporal Loom is destroyed, and the TVA itself has fallen victim of multiversal collapse. Concepts like pruning, multiversal travel using the TVA's TemPads, and the flow of time itself may have changed once temporal energy consumed the TVA. Now, Loki might need to gather his friends back together with nothing but what he's learned so far since he was plucked out of his original timeline. However, it's unknown whether they all remember what happened back at the TVA.
