It"s Good The Arrowverse Is Ending - It Peaked Almost 10 Years Ago

It is good that the Arrowverse is finally ending, as it peaked almost 10 years ago and has not reached those heights ever since. The Arrowverse is the name given to the shared DC television universe set on The CW. It started all the way back in 2012, when Arrow debuted, which gave the universe's name its meaning. Stephen Amell's journey as the marooned billionaire Oliver Queen, and the rising vigilante who would become the Green Arrow, was told through a mix of flashbacks and present day scenes early on that led to an intriguing start to the Arrowverse.
Amell's character on Arrow would meet different DC heroes, who would then go on to lead their own spinoff shows, which resulted in the Arrowverse. The first such case was the introduction of Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, not yet The Flash, on two episodes of Arrow season 2. The actor's guest spot on the show allowed audiences to connect with Barry Allen before he developed powers, as the character created connections to core Arrow members like Oliver and Felicity. Gustin's guest role created demand for his planned spinoff series, with The Flash debuting the following year, in 2014 — which was the Arrowverse's peak year.
