Kang Is The Perfect Villain To Fix The MCU"s Cast Size Problem

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty's brand-new villains are the perfect threat to take on the growing ranks of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The Council of Kangs, made up of countless variants of Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), is set to become the new antagonistic force of the Multiverse Saga, with their exploits spilling over into various MCU titles in Phase 5 and Phase 6. In addition to being an inventive exploration of how multiversal threats can affect Earth-616, the Council of Kangs serves a much more practical purpose in how Marvel Studios balances its ever-growing cast of superheroes, especially in massive team-up films like Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's end-credits scenes introduced the Council of Kangs to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the very first time. The villainous company of Kang variants is shown to consist of at least three recognizable versions of Kang from the comics, including Rama-Tut, the Scarlet Centurion, and Immortus. In their introductory scene, Immortus, who appears to be the highest-ranking member of the Council of Kangs, calls forth every Kang variant in the multiverse as a precaution against the rising power of Earth-616's heroes, foreshadowing a major inter-dimensional conflict between their ranks and the Avengers in the very near future of the MCU.
