Every Star Trek Movie Villain Ranked Worst To Best

The Star Trek films have featured a vast array of villains, some more compelling than others. A decade after the cancelation of Star Trek: The Original Series, the franchise returned, this time on the big screen with Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The TOS cast would enjoy six entries of varying quality in their film franchise before passing the torch to the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation for four more films. After a seven-year hiatus, the Star Trek film franchise was brought back to life by J.J. Abrams' films chronicling the adventures of a younger, alternate reality TOS crew.
The Star Trek films are somewhat notorious for their wild fluctuations in quality. For every classic like Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan or Star Trek: First Contact, there's a genuine stinker like Star Trek V: The Final Frontier or Star Trek: Nemesis. Often that inconsistent quality control comes down to the film's villain. Most of the franchise's best entries feature a fully realized antagonist with understandable motivations; the lesser entries tend to feature either cartoonish mustache twirlers or thinly written characters who can come across as dull. Here's a rundown of all thirteen big-screen Star Trek villains from worst to best.
