Star Wars Confirms Two More Order 66 Jedi Still Alive in Sequel Era
Although the majority of the Jedi died during Order 66, a recent canon Star Wars comic reveals that two more named members of the Jedi Order survived the Jedi Purge. Palpatine’s sinister machinations destroyed the Jedi Order and killed nearly all of its members, removing the greatest threat to his power and allowing him to twist the Galactic Republic into the totalitarian Galactic Empire. Although Palpatine’s coup was successful, there were numerous survivors of his purge, including two characters who lived well into the Star Wars sequel trilogy era.
The fourth issue of Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories, by Amanda Deibert and Lucas Marangon, introduces the Twi’lek bounty hunter Mwarr Ja'Randa, who attempts to capture Rey on Kashyyyk during the Wookiee holiday Life Day. Ja'Randa briefly captures Rey and mentions that two other bounty hunters, "Mill and Vivert," will be jealous. The bounty hunter is seemingly referring to Mill Alibeth and Vivert Stag, two Jedi initiates who debuted in a Clone Wars-era novel and appear to have survived the rise and fall of the Empire by becoming bounty hunters. This theory was strongly supported by their creator Mike Chen in a recent Twitter post.
