Pedro Pascal may be cast as Reed Richards in Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four, but this will not be the first superhero character that the actor has portrayed. Since Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige announced the development of a Fantastic Four reboot for the MCU in 2019, theories have been rife regarding who will be cast in the four titular roles. John Krasinski was previously a popular fan-cast for Reed Richards, but his cameo as Mister Fantastic in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness wasn't so well received. Instead, Chilean American actor Pedro Pascal has reportedly been cast as Reed Richards, and his casting may be perfect for the hero.
With previous notable roles including Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones, Din Djarin in The Mandalorian, Maxwell Lord in Wonder Woman 1984, and Joel in The Last of Us, with the latter earning him three pending Emmy Award nominations, Pedro Pascal has already had an acclaimed career. Even so, the actor has previously expressed his interest in joining the MCU, and there may be no stronger choice for him than the coveted role of Fantastic Four's Reed Richards. Luckily, this wouldn't be Pascal's first time portraying a superhero team leader, either, as he previously appeared as Marcus Moreno in 2020's light-hearted and entertaining superhero legacy sequel We Can Be Heroes.
