The Marvel Cinematic Universe has had its share of disappointing projects, but even the weakest of their endeavors have some fantastic moments. Initially only focusing on making movies, Marvel Studios has expanded its production to make its exclusive TV shows via Disney+ after the Infinity Saga. This has essentially doubled the MCU's output in the last few years, which means that the Multiverse Saga's story is happening both on the small and big screen.
15 years after it was inaugurated with Iron Man, the MCU remains the most successful and popular franchise in the world. This doesn't mean, however, that every project has been a hit. Over the last decade and a half, Marvel Studios has also released some blunders. Luckily, even those weaker projects have redeeming qualities.
10 Makkari's Action Scene In Eternals![]()
In 2021, Marvel Studios debuted a new superhero team in Chloé Zhao's Eternals. Created by the Celestials and sent to Earth to protect human beings against the Deviants, the Eternals are essentially immortals. They share similar capabilities, but each with their signature ones. For Makkari, that's super speed. Having already seen this particular power with DC Universe's Flash, Marvel Studios had to make sure that her super-speed translated on the screen differently. In the end, they decided on showing her zipping through everyone. Not only did this differentiate her from Barry Allen, but it was also very interesting and fun to watch.
9 Evil Strange Hearing The Watcher In What If...?![]()
Marvel Studios introduced Strange Supreme In Marvel's What If...? episode 4, "What If... Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead of His Hands?" The animated format of the show allowed for so many cool sequences, but the moment that Strange Supreme started sensing the Watcher was a pin-drop moment. The tension bubbling throughout the whole sequence that even Uatu was confused about what was happening was riveting. So the moment may not be as flashy as the fight against Infinity Ultron or Thanos' death at the hands of Vision, but the experience of seeing it play out was much more memorable.
8 Tony Stark's Monaco Suit-Up Sequence In Iron Man 2![]()
In his 11 years in the MCU, Marvel Studios always found a way to make Iron Man's suit-up scenes exciting. Amid countless times that Tony Stark put on his armor, his Monaco suit-up scene in Iron Man 2 was mind-blowing, especially considering where the MCU was at that time. After working on Mark I inside the Afghanistan cave, and perfecting several of its contemporaries in his workshop, Mark V was the first Iron Man suit that he put on in public. It established how far he had come in terms of upgrading the armor, even allowing it to be carried around in a suitcase.
7 Frigga's Funeral In Thor: The Dark World![]()
Thor: The Dark World has often been dubbed one of the worst MCU films ever because of its convoluted storyline. However, it still had some great moments including Loki's emotional death scene (though it ended up being a fakeout.) Arguably its best moment was Frigga's send-off. The sequence was three minutes long and featured the whole of Asgard paying respects to her as her body floated away. The musical score perfectly encapsulated the grief and sadness that Thor and his people were feeling at that moment.

6 The Avengers' Party In Avengers: Age of Ultron![]()
Following up 2012's The Avengers was no easy feat. So while Avengers: Age of Ultron was a decent film, it paled in comparison to its predecessor. A packed sequel that prioritized setting up the future rather than its own story, it had everything that a successful film needed, but failed in its execution. The 2015 film's best scene was undoubtedly the Avengers' party scene. Seeing the heroes just hanging out and having fun allowed fans to peak into their downtime dynamic and gave Marvel Studios the chance to humanize them.

After Scott Lang's origins story, Ant-Man and the Wasp debuted Hope van Dyne as the new Wasp. While the sequel has been primarily remembered for its post-credits scene that directly tied to Avengers: Endgame, its kitchen action sequence, where the titular characters battled it out against Sonny Burch and his goons for Hank Pym's miniature lab, was arguably one of the MCU's most creative fight scenes.
4 Yondu's Funeral In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2![]()
By no means was Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 a bad movie. However, compared to Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it was definitely the weakest installment in the trilogy. As with every James Gunn film, however, there was heart to it, with several emotional moments, but Yondu's funeral arguably topped the list. While his actual death was heartbreaking, the whole sequence for his send-off, which started with Star-Lord listening to Yusuf Stevens' "Father & Son" and ended with a rousing tribute from various Ravager factions, was more touching.
