11 Marvel Characters More Powerful In The MCU Than The Comics

Although not a regular occurrence, some characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been given much more power than their counterparts from Marvel Comics. Since the inception of the MCU with 2008's Iron Man, dozens of characters have been adapted into live-action, the majority of whom have been based on characters from Marvel Comics' rich eight-decade history. In an effort to keep a semblance of balance in the MCU, Marvel Studios has often made changes to its heroes' and villains' power levels, more often than not reining their powers in to better fit the live-action franchise, but sometimes, MCU characters are far more powerful than their comic counterparts.
While some characters have been adapted from Marvel Comics fairly accurately, such as Thanos, Daredevil, and Red Skull, others have been changed significantly for their stint in live-action. As well as showcasing the remarkable abilities of superhero teams such as the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel Studios has regularly given the MCU's villains more strength, allowing them to pose a greater threat to the franchise's heroes. That's not to say that many of the MCU's heroes haven't been given the same treatment, enabling new skills to be showcased in the franchise. Here are eleven examples of MCU characters who are more powerful than their Marvel Comics counterparts.
