Recasting Deathstroke For The DC Universe: 8 Actors Who Could Replace Joe Manganiello

The new DC Universe will recast many roles, and one of those will likely be Deathstroke. As the new DC Studios co-CEOs, James Gunn and Peter Safran are in charge of rebooting the DCEU with the new DC Universe. Gunn and Safran have a 10-year plan for DC that not only includes movies but also spans TV series, animation, and video games. While some actors from the old DCEU will remain as their characters in the studio's rebooted shared universe, not all will have the same fate. That was made clear when it was announced that Henry Cavill would not be returning as Clark Kent for Gunn's Superman: Legacy.
The DC Universe will include many iconic characters, some of which did not get their chance to shine in the old DCEU. Joe Manganiello's Deathstroke, for one, was severely underused, having only appeared in a Justice League post-credits scene, with a later brief role in director Zack Snyder's cut of the movie. Manganiello's Deathstroke was once set to appear in Ben Affleck's scrapped solo Batman film. Gunn has teased that Deathstroke is part of his DC Universe plan, and the character will likely be recast for the DC Universe, with some great choices for the role being available.
