1 Unused Revenge Of The Sith Concept Explains Star Wars’ Tusken Revival

An unused concept by George Lucas for Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith helps explain the recent redemption the Tusken Raiders have seen in Star Wars. The Tusken Raiders are a race native to Tatooine that have existed since the first installment in the franchise in 1977. Since then, the Tuskens have become staples in other projects, such as Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace and Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.
However, the Tuskens have also been featured heavily in Star Wars' many new TV efforts, from the animated Star Wars Rebels to The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. In the latter two projects, the Tuskens have seen somewhat of a redemption in terms of their morality, switching from the ruthless, mindless killers of earlier entries to more tribe-like, helpful characters. This revival can be explained by an unused concept straight from the mind of Lucas, which the auteur decided against including in Revenge of the Sith.
