An alternate, more regal, look for Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder in Thor: Love and Thunder has been revealed by MCU concept artist Aleksi Briclot. Hemsworth is currently the only one of Marvel Studios' superheroes to receive four feature films, spanning 2011's Thor, 2013's Thor: The Dark World, 2017's Thor: Ragnarok and 2022's Love and Thunder. As one of the MCU's longest-running characters, Thor has seen many changes over the years, and has sported many iconic outfits, with perhaps his most epic costumes being featured in Love and Thunder. With Thor 5 rumored to be in development, Hemsworth's Thor is expected to undergo even bigger changes in the MCU's future.
Concept artist Aleksi Briclot has worked with Marvel Studios on a number of MCU projects, including Black Widow, Loki, Captain Marvel, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and many others. Recently, Briclot revealed alternate designs for Thor: Love and Thunder characters, including Gorr the God Butcher, Valkyrie and Chris Hemsworth's Thor.
Briclot's alternate design for Thor depicts the God of Thunder in a more stripped-back, regal costume, inspired by his time with the Avengers in Infinity War and Endgame, and gifting him a more casual look in comparison to his colorful armor that Thor uses throughout Taika Waititi's Phase 4 Thor project.

Although Thor 5 hasn't been officially announced by Marvel Studios, it's possible that the project could expand on Thor: Love and Thunder's post-credits scenes. These saw Zeus send Hercules to battle Thor, and marked the return of Idris Elba's Heimdall, greeting Jane Foster in Valhalla following her death in battle. The exploration of these heavier moments would provide the perfect basis for Thor 5's changing tone - perhaps lending themselves to a darker and more emotional storyline than Thor: Love and Thunder. Thor 5 has been suspected to be the final project for Chris Hemsworth in the MCU, so its development is exciting for Thor fans.
