New details about the DC Universe's upcoming Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow movie have been revealed. The last major Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow update from DC was the confirmation that House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock had been cast as Supergirl. The actress will reportedly appear in another project — likely James Gunn's Superman — before leading Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
According to Deadline, Cruella director Craig Gillespie is in talks to direct Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. DC is aiming for a Q4 2024 filming start for the project. The movie already has a star set in Alcock as Kara Danvers, as well as a writer, with Ana Nogueira's script having been well-received at DC. The upcoming DC Universe movie is based on the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic book, created by writer Tom King and artist Bilquis Evely.
