The series follows Lunella Lafayette, who uses her incredible intelligence to open a portal that accidentally brings a giant red T-Rex to her home on the Lower East Side of New York City. Inspired by her own heroes, Lunella becomes a superhero with the help of her new friends, Cassie and Devil Dinosaur, taking on the mantle of Moon Girl.
Lunella quickly learns that living a double life can be challenging, as she hides secrets from her family in order to keep them safe from her superhero escapades. However, season two will put this to the test as Lunella faces even bigger threats after making a name for herself as a hero.
