This is most evident when Mayday Parker, Peter B. Parker's (Jake Johnson) daughter, does what comes naturally to babies while visiting the Spider Society with her father. Throughout the film, Reilly regularly laments about his dark and tortured soul, and tragic history, though this backstory isn't actually explored in any detail. His matter-of-fact speech created some of Across the Spider-Verse's most enjoyable moments, including one when he gets Miles Morales in a choke-hold, noting that the young Spider-Man is "trapped in [his] well-defined musculature," - though Miles quickly escaped.

Parker's escapades at Kingpin's facility in Into the Spider-Verse. After being exposed to the energy of the collider, Ohnn was transformed into a strange, humanoid creature, devoid of features apart from spots that cover his body and form portals into alternate dimensions. Throughout Across the Spider-Verse, the Spot gains power and references Dr. Otto Octavius' infamous line from 2004's Spider-Man 2 to demonstrate just how much he has gained.

Although his family don't know about his Spider-Man activities, Miles' mother shares a few words of wisdom with him before he leaves to join Gwen and the Spider Society, reminding him that he is always loved and she hopes he takes care of himself.
