Meg Donnelly reveals about her Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow audition, confirming the initial DC Universe report.
In a new interview with Screen Rant while promoting the release of Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Three, Donnelly, who voices Supergirl, finally confirmed that she did indeed try out to play the live-action Girl of Steel in the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow movie. Donnelly opeend up on how far she got in the audition process, while expressing her big love for Gunn's DC Universe, sharing the following:
Meg Donnelly: To play Supergirl has always been a dream of mine in any way, so the animation was incredible. When I heard talks of there being a live action version in the DCU, I fought for the audition, like so much like it was just all I wanted and putting my energy towards. I ended up getting one and just the fact that they watched it and liked it, it's just really surreal. I was able to go and screen test, do stunt work and scenes, it was really surreal and just really emotional that I got to do that. It doesn't feel real, the whole time, I was freaking out because it felt like a dream come true. Just being a little kid, I never thought that I would be able to do anything like this, because I love superheroes and superhero movies so much. They ended up going like a different direction which is totally fine, and I am so excited for the movie anyways, I'm such a big fan of James Gunn and his team. They're just the nicest people in the world, so yeah, it was great, it was such an incredible experience that I just hold nothing but joy from.
