Marvel Studios Executive Addresses Potential For Spider-Man: The Animated Series Revival After X-Men "97 Cameo

A Marvel sequel to Spider-Man: The Animated Series in the same vein as X-Men '97 gets a positive update from one of the Marvel Studios executives.
In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, following the X-Men '97 season 1 finale, Marvel Studios Head of TV, Streaming, and Animation, Brad Winderbaum, was asked about the hype surrounding the return of Spider-Man: The Animated Series within the X-Men sequel. Following the reveal that Peter Parker had found Mary Jane Watson after Spider-Man: The Animated Series sequel season 5, Winderbaum was asked what the chances are for Spider-Man '98 of happening, as he shared the following:

Brad Winderbaum: It is amazing to see them back on screen together, I wish we could tell that whole adventure with Madame Web and figure out how exactly he did it! [laughs] Maybe one day, we as fanboys could certainly dream.

Winderbaum was also asked if that is a plot line that they have already mapped out in case they want to tell that story through a potential Spider-Man '98, or if that is an arc they'd work on once they get there, as he said:

Brad Winderbaum: There is always potential, right? I don't want to close the door on anything. But I think that for now, for the foreseeable future, X-Men 97 will own the 90s and how much we bring in guest stars or tell stories from other Marvel characters from that era is TBD, but it will be seen through that lens of the X-Men.
