Considering everything known about Teen Titans in the DCU, the project is surprisingly far in development and may even shoot later this year. This is despite no official announcement from DC Studios confirming the project.
While figures like Robin and Speedy have been mainstays with the team, and others like Starfire have made great names for themselves in various DC shows, there are many other characters to introduce. Considering James Gunn's affinity to draw from the weird and wild comic book stories, several characters come to mind that feel well-suited to the upcoming universe. With a comic book history dating back to 1964 and various animated and live-action shows to pull from, audiences can expect a mixture of heroes, old and new, when the upcoming DC release eventually comes together.
