To celebrate the release of the extremely successful Deadpool & Wolverine movie, Xbox has revealed a custom Xbox Series X console, along with two types of "cheeky" controllers, as part of a recent sweepstakes. These controllers are based on both of the titular characters' postérieures, and since their reveal, many have wondered just how the specially molded butt controllers would feel in their hands.
Now, a Redditor who has got their hands on one of these unique controllers, Termnlychill91, has been able to provide an answer. Termnlychill91 explained that they did not win the main Xbox sweepstakes and that controller is still up for grabs, but rather, they attended San Diego Comic-Con, and were lucky enough to get a seat at the Deadpool & Wolverine Hall H screening and panel where they held a lottery for several attendees to win the controller.
Answering the question everyone has had on their minds since its reveal, Termnlychill91 confirmed Deadpool's butt is not "squishy" as some had hoped, but is rather much firmer, as it is made from hard plastic.

Deadpool And Wolverine's Butts Are Detachable From The Controller Allowing For A More Regular Gaming Experience Close Despite the original post from Xbox Canada claiming that the butt controller is "perfectly ergonomic," many have wondered exactly how well it would work as a controller as it makes it a far thicker object to hold for a sustained period of time. Fortunately, Termnlychill91 has revealed how this works, as they stated that the butt is held on by magnets and is fully detachable.
While the butt is a novelty, and the main reason many wanted the controller, it's for the best that Xbox has implemented this feature, especially as it is made of hard plastic, rather than something softer and more comfortable. Therefore, the controller allows for a far more normal gaming experience should players choose, and as they won't be seeing the back of the controller while playing, it doesn't make too much of a difference as they can still enjoy the Deadpool or Wolverine-themed design on the front as they play.
