Deadpool & Wolverine Deleted Scene Mocks The MCU"s Multiverse Movies

A newly released Deadpool & Wolverine deleted scene pokes fun at the MCU"s increasingly contrived multiversal movies, including Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The MCU"s Multiverse Saga has established the franchise"s multiversal lore with shows such as Loki and movies such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Deadpool & Wolverine. Deadpool & Wolverine"s multitude of multiversal cameos show how big the multiverse really is, but despite Deadpool & Wolverine"s many references to movies inside and outside the MCU, the Phase 5 film still left certain things in the cutting room floor.
On X, DiscussingFilm shares a Deadpool & Wolverine scene that didn"t make it to the final cut. In it, Paradox explains the multiverse to Wade Wilson as they head to Paradox"s office at the TVA. Paradox tells Deadpool that his timeline is only one of infinite universes, to which Deadpool responds, "please, do you think I haven"t seen Doctor Hand in the Quantumverse of Madness?". Paradox goes on to belittle Earth-10005, calling it a "teenie tiny weenie speck in the vast cosmic canvas," and he explains that there"s only one "true universe," which exists in "a secret timeline" and is guarded by the TVA. Watch the scene below:
What Deadpool & Wolverine’s Deleted TVA Scene Means Paradox's Explanation Of The Multiverse Proves There Are Bigger MCU Threats Out There Close Wade Wilson"s reaction to Paradox"s description of the MCU multiverse suggests that Deadpool already knows its ins and outs thanks to his fourth-wall-breaking abilities. Not only is Deadpool acquainted with real-life people like Hugh Jackman and Kevin Feige, but he also knows what happened in previous MCU movies like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Therefore, Deadpool may already know more about Kang the Conqueror and Loki than the TVA itself.
Related Deadpool & Wolverine Ending Explained Deadpool & Wolverine’s ending is filled with multiversal stakes, insane cameos, and big teases for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
2 Paradox"s mention of the "true universe" in a "secret timeline" is a huge reveal. This "true" universe had never been mentioned before, and it could become a key element of the Multiverse Saga in Phase 6"s Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. What this universe refers to remains to be seen, though it could refer to a new multiversal concept, the future location of Avengers: Secret Wars" Battleworld, or the real-life universe — the latter previously visited by She-Hulk in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law"s finale.
Our Take On The New Deadpool & Wolverine Deleted Scene Deadpool & Wolverine's Deleted Scene Could Be Hiding Clues To The MCU Multiverse's Future Custom Image by Kevin Erdmann Deadpool"s ability to understand the MCU as if he were a real-life fan might make him one of the most powerful characters in Avengers: Secret Wars, as he can easily gather valuable knowledge about the multiverse and whatever lies beyond, to the point that he can recognize DC star Henry Cavill in the MCU. Deadpool"s self-awareness could also be an essential part of the potential MCU reboot that could come after Avengers: Secret Wars, as he could use his knowledge of Marvel Studios and Marvel Comics to help reshape the multiverse.
Related I Still Can’t Believe Deadpool & Wolverine Removed 1 Major Cameo From Its Final Release Deadpool & Wolverine was crammed with cameos but still cut one from the final movie that was so significant, the decision still begs belief.
3 Paradox"s mention of a secret universe in Deadpool & Wolverine"s deleted scene might refer to the TVA"s whereabouts, which had never been described in the MCU before. It"s known that He Who Remains" Citadel at the End of Time is located at the end of time itself, and the TVA"s location had been implied to be outside the multiverse. However, this line could instead be teasing a brand-new MCU universe, which could house characters like The Watchers, The Living Tribunal, and The One Above All — entities that watch over Marvel"s multiverse in the comics.
