Yet a Reddit user called @EMC676 has used AI art creator Midjourney to imagine what the MCU's core team, the Avengers, might look like if they were part of Disney's illustrious animated offerings. The artwork was met with overwhelmingly positive responses from Marvel fans in the Reddit comments, with the top poster asking, "Anyone else want to see a What If episode in this animation style?"
Suffice it to say, seeing the likes of Captain America, Thor, and Black Panther looking like true-blue Disney protagonists is certainly off-piste - but no less magical. For anyone who grew up with Disney movies and has since moved on to the slightly less kid-friendly MCU franchise, this collision of two worlds evokes a nostalgia that begs exploration.

All of these animated offerings offer their own distinct styles, but nowhere on the MCU's release slate is there an animation that resembles Disney's classic 2D style. In the current era of the multiverse, however, a production that renders the MCU's iconic roster in this particular style is more possible than ever. With that in mind, one question springs to mind: "Why not?" The MCU has, after all, already dipped its toe into "Disney Princess" territory with The Marvels, where the titular team's visit to Aladna became a distinctly Disney-tinged musical sequence complete with a magical ballgown.
Spinoff shows like What If...? have opened the door to a wealth of possibilities, and it would be both nostalgic and hilarious in equal measure to see the Avengers as part of a classic Disney movie. Marvel Zombies is about to venture into animated horror, so a palette cleanser in the form of an Avengers fairytale would be just as bold and entertaining. Nevertheless, the chances of this happening are doubtful, and for now, Reddit's content may be the closest we're going to get to seeing what a Disney-fied MCU project might look like.
