Red Hood Almost Got His Own Show: Titans Showrunner Reveals Details Of Spinoff

Titans showrunner Greg Walker shares new details about the scrapped spinoff series that was in the works for Red Hood. After running since 2018, HBO Max's Titans officially came to an end this year as season 4, part 2 wrapped up the gritty Teen Titans drama on May 11. The Titans series finale saw the heroes take on Brother Blood once and for all while also sending the members onto their new adventures after starting the team.
However, it appears the Titans showrunner had hoped to flesh out his universe with a potential spinoff for one of the series' previous prominent characters. In an interview with CinemaBlend, Walker revealed they had been looking at doing a Red Hood spinoff series with Currant Walters' Jason Todd, who returned in one of the final Titans season 4 episodes this year. The idea was that Red Hood would join forces with Ravager and have Jericho - whose consciousness was inside her body - come back to play a larger role. According to Walker, they had only gotten as far as working on a Red Hood outline, sharing the following:
I mean, could you imagine? What would Rose be doing now? I can imagine her and Jason Todd connecting again. We had talked about that, we were playing around with a Red Hood spinoff and bringing Rose back. Chelsea’s such an extraordinary talent, and to be able to tap into that character again and have her brother’s consciousness out there in the world to tap into as well, would be fun. Yeah, that’s a story I would love to do in Season 5. If you can get a Season 5, I’ll do it. No, we sold it. [Writers] Bryan [Edward Hill] and Rich [Hatem] were working on an outline.
