New evidence from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is pointing toward Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman maybe being transgender. The Spider-Verse franchise is finally back as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was released in theaters this month, continuing the story of Miles Morales and his exploration through the multiverse. With the return of Miles also comes some familiar faces, including Gwen, a.k.a. Spider-Woman, played once again by Hailee Steinfeld.
While the Marvel heroine already had a huge role in the sequel, some evidence from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse suggests that there may be another huge story element being teased about Gwen.
