DC"s TV Shows Are Laying All The Groundwork For The Flash Movie"s Multiverse

Warning: The following contains SPOILERS for The Flash season 9, episode 9, "It's My Party and I'll Die If I Want To" and Titans season 4, episode 9 "Dude, Where's My Gar?"Multiple DC Comics TV shows have been making reference to a shared multiverse in anticipation of The Flash movie. This does not seem to be entirely coincidental, with the idea of a shared multiverse linking multiple properties being explored repeatedly in the shows making up the Arrowverse. This suggests that the shared multiverse of the DC television series will be playing a role in The Flash movie and will form the base of the new cinematic DC Studios Multiverse.
The plot of The Flash movie has been kept a mystery, apart from it being broadly based on the Flashpoint comic book storyline, where Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) accidentally creates a twisted alternate reality. The final trailers for the film have confirmed this, showing an Earth with a different version of Batman (Michael Keaton) and a Supergirl (Sasha Calle) in place of Superman. While this is the first time a multiverse has been referenced in a DC Studios film, the idea has been a part of DC's TV shows for years. Indeed, many DC Comics shows made reference to the multiverse during the build up to The Flash movie.
