12 Ways Picard Season 3 Mirrors TNG"s Finale

Warning: SPOILERS For Star Trek: Picard Season 3, Episode 10 - "The Last Generation" Now that Star Trek: Picard has brought the story of Star Trek: The Next Generation to an end, it's worth looking at the similarities between Picard season 3 and TNG's original finale, "All Good Things...". In the original TNG finale, Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) found himself drifting through his past, present, and future as he sought answers for a cataclysmic temporal anomaly. The potential future of "All Good Things..." clearly influenced aspects of Star Trek: Picard, as season 1 revealed that, much like in the TNG finale, Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) had retired to his family vineyard, and had contracted Irumodic Syndrome.
It's a stark reminder that even Jean-Luc Picard wasn't able to completely avoid the possible future that was presented to him at the end of TNG. In the final scene of "All Good Things...", the crew of the USS Enterprise-D pondered why Picard had told them the details of their alternate future, deciding that he was giving them a chance to change it for the better. Picard season 3 reveals that, for good or ill, the Enterprise crew weren't able to completely avoid the future foretold by Picard. Here's every way that Star Trek: Picard season 3 mirrors the TNG finale.
