Tom Holland Confirms Spider-Man 4 Meetings, MCU Return Hype Begins

Tom Holland confirms that meetings for Spider-Man 4 have begun as the star is getting ready to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It has almost been two years since Spider-Man: No Way Home came out, which was one of the biggest Phase 4 films in the MCU. Not only did it wrap up Peter Parker's trilogy, but it also allowed the web-slinger to team up with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Men as part of a larger multiverse adventure. With Spider-Man: No Way Home becoming a smashing success, a sequel has slowly been in the works.
While Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures haven't given a lot of updates on Holland's Spider-Man 4 project, the MCU veteran has offered some positive updates about his MCU return. In an interview with Variety, the British star revealed that meetings for Spider-Man 4 have been happening. However, production isn't starting anytime soon as Holland confirmed that development is currently on pause in light of the Writers Guild of America strike.
I can’t talk about that, but I can say that we have been having meetings. We’ve put the meetings on pause in solidarity with the writers. There’s been multiple conversations had, but at this point it’s very, very early stages.
