Blade Missing Avengers 5 Supports New MCU Superhero Team Theories

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is preparing for two new crossover events at the end of Phase 6: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, but the former might not include all of the MCU’s new characters, such as Blade (Mahershala Ali), but that gives more force to theories about Blade being part of a new superhero team. The MCU’s Multiverse Saga is not only exploring variants and other timelines but is also leaning more towards its supernatural side, starting with characters like Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night, and joining this group will be Blade, the famous dhampir and vampire hunter.
After regaining the rights to the character, Marvel announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 that a Blade movie was in development, and it was later confirmed to be part of Phase 5 and the Multiverse Saga. Blade already made his first “appearance” in the MCU in a voice cameo in the post-credits scene of Eternals, but details about his role in the MCU and his movie’s plot are still unknown. As Blade will be released before Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, he was expected to join the rest of the MCU’s heroes to fight Kang and his variants, but Blade's absence has been teased by Kang Dynasty's writer, supporting the theories about Blade joining or forming a completely different team.
