Harry Kim In Prodigy? What This Means For Voyager"s Star Trek Future

Actor Garrett Wang has revealed that his Star Trek: Voyager character, Harry Kim "belongs" to Star Trek: Prodigy, suggesting a future reunion for the crew of the USS Voyager. While it's predominantly aimed at kids new to Star Trek, the animated series is also a sequel to Star Trek: Voyager and features Admiral Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) and Captain Chakotay (Robert Beltran). Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 is set to pick up the story of Janeway's search for the missing Chakotay as she and her young warrant officers embark on a rescue mission. As Chakotay is currently stranded in an alternate 25th century, Janeway will need all the help she can get.
Now that Garrett Wang has revealed more information about Harry Kim's cut Star Trek: Picard cameo it's possible that Harry Kim could be on hand to offer help to Janeway with her search. Speaking at Philadelphia's Galactic Diversity & Inclusion Convention, Wang reportedly said that Harry Kim "belongs" to Prodigy. It's possible, therefore, that there are plans for Harry Kim to join the cast of Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 when it returns later in 2023.
