With the roster for the Marvel Cinematic Universe reboot finally confirmed, Pedro Pascal has broken his silence on his Fantastic Four casting. Reports first surfaced of Pascal having been cast as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in November 2023, with Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning's Vanessa Kirby also reportedly being eyed for Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman alongside Stranger Things breakout Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and The Bear's Ebon Moss-Bacharach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. The four were all finally confirmed in February alongside a July 25, 2025 release date.
Following the surprise Valentine's Day announcement from Marvel Studios, Pascal took to his Instagram to react to his Fantastic Four casting as Mr. Fantastic.
The post, as seen above, features the original concept art of Pascal alongside co-stars Kirby, Quinn and Moss-Bacharach as the various Marvel heroes enjoying Valentine's Day together. The actor's caption celebrated the news as coming "From our family to yours" while also using the cryptic hashtag of "#AllYouNeedIsLove".

Given the Fantastic Four casting announcement came on Valentine's Day, Pascal's hashtag could easily be chalked up to lining up with the love-focused holiday, though there are a variety of reasons why it may hold deeper weight for the movie itself.
One of the biggest indicators is the Fantastic Four cast concept art itself, which features a decidedly retro look, including the costumes seen for the Marvel heroes in their earlier runs in the comics. The team itself actually made their debut in the comics in 1961, relatively close to the time of The Beatles' popularity and "All You Need is Love"'s release. With this close proximity in eras, Pascal's hashtag could very well be hinting that the movie will be set in the past, similar to the routes taken by Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain Marvel and Eternals.
