Three Phase 5 Marvel Cinematic Universe shows were foreshadowed back in 2015 almost 10 years before their respective air dates. While many assume the MCU's first venture into TV came with WandaVision in 2021, the MCU has had other TV shows before the utilization of Disney+. The only confusion with these TV shows was that their canon status was - and still is, in some cases - unclear.
Canon ambiguity aside though, the MCU's various TV shows began as far back as 2013 with Agents of SHIELD. This then led to the Netflix section of the MCU that began with Daredevil and spawned Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, The Punisher, and The Defenders. As far back as 2015 thanks to two of these projects, three upcoming Marvel Disney+ shows were already being foreshadowed that have been released, or are set to release, in Phase 5.

The two prior MCU shows in question are Daredevil and Agents of SHIELD. The three upcoming MCU shows that these two projects began teasing are Daredevil: Born Again, Echo, and Secret Invasion, the latter of which has already been released and is often lower ranked regarding Marvel TV shows. Concerning Secret Invasion, Agents of SHIELD season 1, episode 4 included the use of the Skrull alphabet which was the first canonical mention of the shapeshifting aliens in the MCU that ended up being a primary plot point of Secret Invasion's Phase 5 story.
The other two shows, Daredevil: Born Again and Echo, were set up simply by Daredevil existing as of 2015. Given that both upcoming Phase 5 shows will heavily involve Wilson Fisk/Kingpin and Matt Murdock/Daredevil, their MCU debuts were enough to tease future appearances from the now-iconic duo. Why Marvel's Long Show Teases Are A Good & Bad Thing

Given these teases of Phase 5's shows almost 10 years before their respective release dates, it raises the arguments that such a long set-up is both beneficial and detrimental to the MCU. Concerning the former, stories, characters, and arcs being set up long in advance exemplifies one of the best aspects of the MCU: its interconnectivity. Teasing certain aspects well ahead of their debut in the franchise is a testament to how well-planned out Marvel Studios' universe has been over the years and makes the overall world feel much more cohesive.
However, such large gaps between certain foreshadowed elements and their own projects can also be a hindrance. The hype for individual elements could easily die down with such vast stretches of time between shows. On the flip side, giving fans so much time to theorize, speculate, and discuss how something will be introduced can raise expectations to the point of absurdity so that, no matter what the Marvel Cinematic Universe releases at the end of such a wait, nothing short of a perfect show would feel satisfying.
